It’s time for a Friday Favorite!
My favorite thing to share with you today is:
Ricola Cough Drops
No, I am not kidding! These things are a staple in my house. No other drop works quite like these do. My husband, who’s cheap and tends to just prefer the generic brand of cough drops, even says these are good. While the menthol in a drop like Hall’s tends to help for a while, I’ve found that the Ricola ingredients provide relief that lasts longer.
Three weeks ago or so, all five of us got really sick. The kids had nasty coughs. The baby was on steroids for croup, and my oldest two just barked their heads off. These drops went fast while they spent an entire week coughing.
Now that allergy season is here, these are my go-to cough drops for that tickly, irritant cough that I develop due to having mild asthma.
They come in a variety of flavors, and while I like all of them, I tend to just prefer the original as far as flavor goes.
If you get coughs that are hard to get rid of and your regular cough drops aren’t quite doing the job, try Ricola. Hopefully you’ll have the same experience with them that we’ve had!

I used to love Ricola – I hardly ever eat them anymore as I stay away from sugar, but Ricola cough drops are definitely the ones I go for, when I really need some good cough drops!

Thanks for commenting, curlsnchard! A bag generally lasts us nearly a year, as we don’t tend to get colds and such. This year was different, though! I prefer essential oils and home remedies for prevention, but sometimes a resort to an OTC remedy is a must.
