Thou shalt not steal.
When thirty thousand dollars goes missing at church, private investigator Bill Broadly is hired to find the money and, ultimately, find the thief. The pastor, church caretaker Gerald, and church secretary Constance Sanderson work closely with Bill to make sure he has the resources that he needs to find the perpetrator. Bill is not a believer, and he is skeptic about Christianity. I would even say that he is hostile toward the people. However, as Bill gets to know the people, he begins to realize that they are flawed people, too, just trying to do better.
This was a nice film. Not a box office smash, but a nice faith film centering around hope, redemption, trust, and truth. It would be a good addition to a family’s DVD shelf or even in a church library.
