Released today, Shatter the Silence is an inspirational romantic suspense novel written by Carol J. Post. I read it in one sitting—couldn’t put it down!
In Shatter the Silence, Carol has effortlessly presented characters who could be your next-door neighbors. Relatable, human, quirky yet likeable, the main and secondary characters attached themselves to my heart and pulled me into their personal lives.
The story was incredible, and Carol handled the topic of domestic violence with care and heart. Inspirational, suspenseful, and heartfelt, Shatter the Silence is a novel that I plan to hold on to and read again.
About Shatter the Silence
Tia Jordan runs Peace House, a safe house for women who are survivors of domestic violence. Tia herself is a survivor, so her job is personal and her protectiveness is fierce. With admirable know-how, determination, and a faith that roots her, Tia moves mountains to help those who come to her for help. Not everyone in town, though, is thrilled with her mission; a neighbor and the police chief have her in their sights and are determined to make her life miserable. To make matters worse, her worst fear is released from prison, and she soon must balance duty with personal danger.
Jason Sloan arrives in Harmony Grove, believing that he’s inherited his late grandmother’s estate. He is at the point of desperation financially, because his mother is battling cancer and mounting medical bills. What he discovers is that his inheritance is disappointing—his grandmother willed her home and bank account to a woman Jason has never met. Once Jason gets to know the new owner, he resolves himself to helping her with her cause, one that is also personal to himself.
Carol J. Post‘s newest release, Shatter the Silence, is the second novel of her Harmony Grove series.

About Carol
From medical secretary to court reporter to property manager to owner of a special events decorating company, Carol’s resume reads as if she doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up. But one thing that has remained constant through the years is her love for writing. She currently pens fun and fast-paced inspirational romance and romantic suspense stories. Her books have been nominated for a RITA® award and an RT Reviewers’ Choice Best Book Award.
Carol lives in sunshiny Central Florida with her husband, who is her own real-life hero, and writes her stories under the shade of the huge oaks in her yard. Besides writing, she works alongside her music minister husband singing and playing the piano. She enjoys sailing, hiking, camping—almost anything outdoors. Her two grown daughters and grandkids live too far away for her liking, so she now pours all that nurturing into taking care of a fat and sassy black cat and a highly spoiled dachshund.
