The Berenstain Bears books have been personal favorites of mine for as long as I can remember. When I was given the opportunity to review this newest children’s book by Jan & Mike Berenstain, I took the opportunity, because there’s just nothing better to my heart than their writing and awesome illustrations. Plus, I have a fantastic little boy to share the book with!
The Berenstain Bears books often teach moral lessons without really touching on specific Christian vibes like mentioning God, Jesus, or the Bible. However, this book hits on the First Christmas–aka Jesus’s birth. Papa Bear sits down with the cubs and reads from their storybook Bible about how the very first Christmas came to be.
As a Christian mom, I was very pleased to see this aspect to their storytelling, and, just like many other Berenstain books that I have on my shelf, this one has secured a space there, too. I very much recommend this book!
